Precision Screw Machining for Detailed or Lower-Volume Parts

Ashley Ward provides single-spindle screw machining for manufacturers that need accurate, consistent parts in smaller diameters or with more intricate features. Our equipment supports flexible production for both short and long runs, making it a dependable complement to multi-spindle machining when volume, geometry, or part complexity require a different approach.

Versatile Machining for Complex Features

Controlled Cutting for Small Diameters and Specialty Profiles

Our single-spindle screw machines handle round and hexagonal bar stock with the stability needed for small-diameter parts, long slender components, and features that require precise forming. Operators use tooling options such as form tools, counterbores, and attachments for broaching, threading, cross drilling, and recessing. This allows us to complete detailed work at the machine without secondary operations, keeping each run efficient and consistent.

This capability is ideal for turned components that require steps, tapers, knurls, splines, slots, or other formed geometries produced with reliable accuracy.

Equipment and Technical Capacity

Single-Spindle Machines that Deliver Steady, Repeatable Performance

Our facilities operate an extensive group of single-spindle machines, including bar-fed systems and chuckers that support a wide range of part sizes. These machines handle diameters up to 1¼ inches for bar stock and up to 1½ inches on chuckers, with maximum bar lengths up to 12 inches. Cycle times range from 1.75 seconds to 120 seconds depending on complexity.

Our process maintains a dependable dimensional tolerance of +/-.001 inch across production runs. Size ranges and tolerances are confirmed during the quoting process to maintain consistent accuracy across each run.

Reliable Production Supported by Certified Quality

A Structured Workflow that Keeps Each Run Consistent

Each order moves through our ISO 9001:2015 certified approach to inspection, tooling control, and operator oversight. We maintain consistent accuracy for both ongoing programs and smaller production batches, giving machining parts manufacturers a reliable domestic partner for stable output.

Whether you need shafts, push rods, fittings, sleeves, or other turned components, our teams machine parts that stay uniform from run to run.
